KTAL NBC 6, KMSS FOX 33, KSHV V45 and Arklatexhomepage.com in Shreveport, LA is looking for a part-time Lifestyle Show Producer to join our team! We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with positive work ethic and the desire to WIN and EXCEL to start now!

The Lifestyle Show Producer writes and produces daily show items, decides the order in which stories will be aired, writes teases and other content, times edited segments, edits video, and posts video to the website.
• Produces lifestyle show for broadcast across all platforms
• Writes and orders stories for the show
• Writes and approves scripts
• Balances news, clients and feature content to create compelling broadcasts
• Edits video
• Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms
• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites within Nexstar Policies
• Shoots video for commercial and promotional efforts
• Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, video sequences, desired effects, and shot requirements
• Sets up, composes and executes video shots
• Organizes and strings together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts or instructions for commercial and promotional efforts
• Reviews assembled footage on screens or monitors to determine whether corrections are necessary
• Trims recorded segments to specified lengths and reassembles segments into sequences that present stories with maximum effect
• Determines the specific audio and visual effects necessary to complete spots
• Sets up and operates computer editing systems, electronic titling systems, video switching equipment, and digital video effects units to produce a final product
• Selects and combines the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Must have editing experience, highly skilled on Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects)
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Able to lift 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work any shift

Work Environment / Physical Requirements: High stress, high energy environment with deadline pressures. Some travel may be required on rare occasions.
