Job Description
NBC4 WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, has an immediate opening for an audience editor/weekend site producer for its digital team. The candidate is responsible for executing the plan to generate inbound traffic from external sources. The person must be highly motivated with an ability to focus and refocus on a constantly changing targets and understand nuances in tone for different audiences -- sounding fun where able and respectful when required. On weekends, the candidate will be responsible for updating the website, curating high-performing content, crafting homepage layouts driven by data, and helping to report news.

Position responsibilities
• Develops and implements social media strategy across all products
• Manages all social media accounts with understanding of each unique audience
• Understand types of stories that drive traffic on the web
• Work with management to deliver a content mix that reflects the needs of our audience
• Curate and aggregate a steady stream of interesting content that is packaged and promoted in a way that generates engagement and repeat site visits
• Excellent at writing headlines that grow audience and engagement
• Build positive working relationships with newsroom staff and management
• Promote and distribute news content on social media

Skill/Experience Requirements
• 2 years of experience as a social media producer
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• Organized, technical problem solver and quick decision maker
• Knowledge of audience behavior trends and technical ability to affect them
• Ability to monitor and analyze metrics to change strategy as needed
• Schedule flexibility (including nights, weekends and holidays)
• Regularly meets measurements of success
