Job Description

WJAR NBC 10, Southern New England's News Leader, has an immediate opening for a creative Lifestyle Show Producer.

The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our award-winning STUDIO 10 lifestyle show. This position will also work closely with the Creative Services Department and Sales when it comes to content creation. In this position, you will determine the content and flow of the show, work with the hosts and clients to generate and shoot stories, and develop content for our digital properties.

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, a compelling writer, and be able to multitask and manage their time in order to put together an exciting and informative show.

T he candidate must have at least 2 years of previous producing experience at a commercial TV station. The candidate must also have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to execute daily strategies and goals. Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities are a must. You should also be proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems such as iNews.
