The job holder will be responsible for driving market share, revenue and profit across the home video (physical and digital) categories by implementing strategic plans for TV, Film & Catalogue priorities as set out by the business.
Summary of Key Role Responsibilities:
Film & TV New Release Marketing
• Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to build and execute Marketing Plans for New Release Film & TV titles as per the priorities set out by the business.
• Manage the product plan (including dating, pricing, forecasting & distribution), product P&L & approved marketing budgets.
• Brief Publicity, Promotional and Media Agencies, and other third-party suppliers, and work with all Agency partners to deliver best-in-class campaign activity.
• Manage all creative materials including digital assets, customer assets, advertising and POS/merchandising for responsible campaign activity.
• Effectively prepare marketing plan documents as per business requirements and deliver impactful presentations to business when necessary
Catalogue Marketing Management
• Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to Build & execute marketing plans for annual catalogue film & TV priorities
• Manage approved budgets
• In conjunction with sales distribution team, coordinate and support platform merchandising and consumer promotions
• Price management and approvals in line with over-arching business strategy.
Advertising Media and PR Management
• Management of ongoing advertising media and PR planning including;
• Briefing and m anagement of media and PR vendors across AU & NZ
• Refine and secure LA head office approval of media and PR proposals in-line with commercial objectives for both new release & catalogue campaigns
• Day-to-day interaction with local vendors, Paramount theatrical teams in AU & NZ, Universal AU & NZ and LA digital marketing teams
• Manage all creative asset delivery processes in-line with LA creative services team
• Lead post-campaign performance analysis and sharing insights
Platform Marketing & Engagement
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all digital customers, internal processes & platform priorities in order to develop strategic plans to drive new release & catalogue performance.
• In conjunction with sales, maintain prescribed contact cadence for calls / meetings with platforms vendor management teams to present slate updates and promotional calendars
• Ensure platforms are serviced with assets, pricing & release administration to ensure smooth business process and delivery.
• Create and deliver all platform specific marketing assets and deliverables for best in case on store merchandising and platform marketing.
Consumer & Marketing Insights
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of AU and NZ retail & media landscape
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the local consumer ''content consumption'' behaviour
• Develop and circulate regular market insight report to inform local marketing strategy including competitive analysis.
• Analyse accounts/market performances with internal databases and deliver insights back to marketing team.
Person Specification
Essential
• Passionate and creative with excellent communication skills – candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years marketing experience within a leading entertainment or brand marketing environment.
• Candidates must be effective communicators, display a collaborative working style and have strong campaign management skills
• Strong analytical / numerical skills are a must.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and effectively manages own time
• Ability to influence at all levels and confidence to challenge appropriately
• Builds effective relationships with internal and external customers
• Commercial skills to understand margin / P&L aspirations and customer profitability drivers and be able to communicate effectively to sales team and HO Marketing / Finance
• Solid understanding of market trends and competitive environment
Desirable
• Previous experience in Home Entertainment / media marketing
• CIM qualification/ Marketing degree
• Practical experience of PR, On Line Marketing, 3rd Party promotional development.
• Passion for film/TV and good product knowledge
