The Manager, Content Acquisitions is an active contributor of the MTV Studios Entertainment Group Team supporting all brands across the enterprise, and will be involved in every stage of the content deal life-cycle covering deal analysis to inventory management. The role maintains responsibility for both internal and external communication related to all 3rd party acquired content and reports directly to the Director, Content Acquisitions. Adept at managing fast paced, day-to-day operational aspects of the job, this person interfaces in the best interest of each individual brand.

Daily, this individual will manage relationships with multiple senior leaders, including partnering with Vice Presidents in Finance, Programming, BALA & Rights Management, Network Operations, among others. This individual serves as a fierce advocate for the MTV Entertainment Group as well as the Paramount

culture.

Key responsibilities:
• Support deal team in preparation and negotiation, from renewal preparation to post-mortem evaluation
• Monitor competitive landscape and share the info that has impact to acquired business
• Track deals and maintain inventory and negotiation history
• Collaborate with corporate content acquisition group, content finance, acquisition operations, research and programming
• Manage budget and long range planning for the overall group as well as each individual brand
• Maintain a historical knowledge of film/television series, as well as the current distribution landscape and competitive marketplace
• Implement all brand level movie trades and shares
• Liaise with VPAG & Finance on return on investment process & key deal points, including applying research & financials for final review and approval
• Evaluate multi-million dollar film packages for brand viability & return, and distribute movie windows based on brand need and priority
• Communicate essential brand needs to VPAG in order to expedite workflow
• Partner with BALA/RAD to make sure that deal memos are uploaded and key deal points and regulations are accurately tracked, and communicate said rights and regulations to the brands as needed
• Receive, screen, log and drive evaluations of inbound content opportunities
• Lead all aspects of movie remnant sharing process as well as quarterly task to acquire additional exhibition days for A-level titles

Basic Qualifications
• 3 years of experience in acquisitions, content strategy and/or finance

Additional Qualifications
• Positive and self-motivated individual who takes ownership
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and internet research skills
• Relevant program research and scheduling experience
• Familiar working in databases / data management / report generation
• Obsessive attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of the media/entertainment landscape
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
