Job Description
OVERVIEW & RESONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Coordinator, Unscripted with a true passion for documentary, unscripted television, and emerging technologies. The role will support the MTV Entertainment Group's VP of Documentary, working across The Smithsonian Channel, MTV, MTV News, VH1, and Paramount+! Our ideal candidate will have strong creative and artistic ability as well as an awareness of current trends in pop culture and the media landscape. The position is based in Los Angeles but will work east coast hours.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Administrative (50%)
• Attend and take notes at pitch meetings with producers, production companies and creative agents
• Create and maintain a tracking system for pitches, producers, production teams and media creatives
• Create visual pitch and presentation decks for internal and external development ideas
• Creative (30%)
• Provide research support, as part of the creative development process, for new project ideas
• Assist in the ideation and creation of industry panels and presentations for film festivals and markets
• Attend occasional film festivals and markets to provide support and help source new content
• Oversee production of editorial reels and proof of concepts for internal and external project ideas
• Stay current on documentary, unscripted, and XR landscapes to include latest relevant films, shows, media industry film festivals, industry conferences and events, and share updates with senior creative team
• In time will grow to support the sourcing of multi-platform content including linear, streaming platform, podcast, and emerging technologies
• Executive Support (20%)
• Calendar management, travel scheduling, preparing expense reports

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS degree
• Mastery Microsoft Office, Keynote or other design software, and File Sharing services

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years experience with a network, high volume production company, agency and/or studio in the unscripted, documentary, and/or factual space.
• Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality and exhibit integrity and cool under pressure
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of work. Demonstrated prioritization, planning and task delegation under tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels, especially senior-level
• Unscripted field production experience
