Job Description

Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver an annual acquisitions strategy for MSNBC Longform. Oversee documentary funding strategies and deal structures.
• Proactively source and acquire programming as well as identify new content & distribution opportunities.
• Identify business leads, partners, and potential new markets.
• Manage budgets, marketing and sales/sponsorship opportunities, awards submissions for MSNBC Longform projects.
• Work with NBC News Studios to recruit filmmakers and projects that align with MSNBC brand.
• Represent MSNBC at festivals, conferences and industry events.
• Screen and review cuts of Documentaries in production.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 15 years producing, developing and funding

documentaries.
• Deep knowledge of documentary landscape, talent, and

business models.
• Strong relationships with filmmakers, financiers,

foundations and festivals.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing and able to work Weekends, flexible

hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking

news
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the

United States
