VFX Supervisor
• Collaborate with key MR. X staff to establish efficient delivery workflows, technical pipeline upgrades and methodologies
• Help develop new relevant business opportunities for both Toronto, and Montreal studios
• Consult on how to grow Mr. X business with the major Hollywood studios as well as independent producers
• Make strategic recommendations relating to staffing, company workflow and procedures as well as overall company direction
• Guide and deliver VFX projects from conception through to completion
• Responsible for achieving the creative aims of the Director and/or Producers through the use of visual effects
• Responsible for the VFX Post Production process, creatively leading the artists throughout the show ensuring that good and clear communication occurs at all times between the artists, editor and client
• Responsible for attending filming sets/locations and ensuring that good, clear communication occurs at all times between Mr. X, the Director/DOP and Producers
• Deal with the technical and logistical issues relating to visual effects that arise on set
• Act as a partner and guide to digital producers in achieving the look of the film within the technical parameters, scale and scope of the production schedule/budget
• Provide creative leadership by setting the expectation for the highest levels of quality for all areas of art among a team of dynamic artists
• Take initiative to resolve art pipeline issues by researching, identifying and implementing solutions designed to streamline the art process and enhance productivity within the studio
• Keep Managers and the Production Team informed of progress, changes, roadblocks and other critical issues,
• Creative and technical problem solving driven by the desire to deliver innovative, high quality work
