Overview

Summary The Senior Director, Marketing will provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction to a team of marketing and creative professionals via an approach that is both analytical and creative. This position will lead the development of integrated marketing plans and oversee implementation of same, bringing focus to emerging markets and content strategies to achieve revenue goals and support long term audience growth objectives.

The Senior Director, Marketing will work collaboratively with the VP, Marketing, Major League Baseball and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club Business Analytics partners to develop plans and measure results for further optimization of content, marketing campaigns, media plans and digital solutions across all marketing channels. This role will lead content and marketing program development and direct execution of all marketing efforts.

• Work in conjunction with the VP, Marketing and MBBC's Business Analytics team to develop effective integrated marketing plans addressing club goals to drive growth of our fan base and business revenue.
• Work with MLB and MBBC's Business Analytics team to develop consumer insights for diverse audiences in our market; use insights to inform the development and delivery of marketing plans and programs for emerging audience segments.
• Identify core opportunities as focus areas to improve brand health among outreach audiences.
• Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and content strategies that include social media, website experience and content, email marketing, mobile app, SMS, traditional advertising campaigns and media
• Ensure the Brewers brand identity is clear and consistent across messaging, content, and marketing programs and marketing programs serve the organization's overall goals for fan engagement, sales, events, retail and other club initiatives
• Lead the marketing team with an emphasis on performance metrics to make strategic and data-driven decisions through development and execution of all social media, content programs, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives.
• Collaborate regularly with MLB and MBBC's Business Analytics to assess data points and insights on our fan base to improve our marketing efforts and help the Marketing team build effective multi-channel marketing campaigns
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach. Responsible for performance appraisals and development goals of direct reports.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver results through collaboration and build consensus among stakeholders throughout the organization
• Extensive prior experience working with a creative team and directing creative development
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Strong writing skills and an ability to effectively communicate marketing strategies
• Adaptability and ability to see the audience perspective, e.g. Brewers fan, is essential; understanding of diversity and multicultural audiences is preferred
• Experience in optimizing marketing channels, both traditional and digital
• Proven success leading and managing content planning, media planning, website management, email marketing, and/or advertising campaigns
• Prior marketing experience in sports industry strongly preferred.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
