Mikros Animation is currently preparing several full CG feature films, including The Tiger's Apprentice, produced by Paramount Animation. Paced by its action and moments of emotion, the project is filled with performances of human beings and creatures.
To that extend, we are looking for Compositing Artist to join our wonderful crew !

Under the direction of the Supervisor and the team Lead, the compositing artist is responsible of combining multiple elements previously created into a final image and its delivery. Understand the artistic vision of the project and be able to meet the visual quality as well as the aesthetics consistency. Their responsibilities will be:
• Perform digital compositing tasks including color correction, integration of matte painting, relighting ...
• Provide artistic and technical expertise
• Integration of 2D / 3D renderings, while respecting the artistic continuity of the sequences and the artistic direction of the project
• Work with the supervisor and the team lead in order to respect the creative and technical direction
• Respect the quotas and objectives given by the production and the supervisor
• Deliver shots on time for reviews and deliveries
• Maintain good peer relationship and good team dynamics

Qualifications

Required skills ...
• Experience as a Compositing Artist on full CG animation projects
• Good knowledge of Nuke software (production experience required)
• Strong sense of color, integration and composition
• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of the pipeline of a film production
• Ability to multitask, establish and / or respect priorities
• Proactive attitude, good communication skills and problem solving

... and valued assets:
• Experience with Shotgun
• Experience with Katana / Arnold
• Knowledge on Stereo Compositing
• Knowledge of full CG lighting workflow
• Fluency in English/French
