Finance Coordinator, Accounts Receivable
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Finance Coordinator for its Accounts Receivable team. This position is an entry level position that has responsibilities that cover all aspects of billing and collections for Ancillary businesses (Consumer Products, Interactive, Music, and Clips & Stills). An ideal candidate would have a fundamental knowledge of accounting and a desire for upward mobility in their Finance career.
Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
• Manage executed contracts and enter their financial data into financial system
• Review & analyze agreements to determine how best to administer billing and revenue
• Support in all cash procedures: preparation of invoices, cash collections, cash applications, and filing
• Analyze client statements and contracts to ensure accuracy of reporting
• Monitor contract status and follow-up on outstanding statements and payments
• Process statements posting receivable and revenue to the general ledger
• Reconcile contracts and prepare statement of account
• Review customer accounts & report any delinquencies to management
• Update and maintain statement tracking database and follow-up with clients accordingly
• Create various monthly sales reports for sales team
• Reconcile cash vs. revenue monthly & provide report for Financial Planning
• Assist the Ancillary sales departments on an at-need basis
• Maintain the Accounts Receivable database for upper management reporting
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel and SAP
• Strong analytical, organization, and people skills
• Self-motivated team player
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• General knowledge of distribution agreements preferred
• Able to work effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are of the highest importance
