Finance Analyst

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is looking for Financial Analysts to join the Corporate Planning team. The Financial Analysts will be responsible for consolidating the overall corporate budget and long-range plan/forecasts, ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data, analyzing information received from divisional FP&A groups, and providing reporting / information to management to support decision making.

Responsibilities may include:
• Support department in consolidating forecasts from business units
• Support department in consolidating overhead budgets from business units
• Load financial data into Oracle Essbase database
• Reconcile and consolidate financial results, identifying key drivers of variances in the forecast
• Carefully dissect and analyze forecast data and financial models received from divisional FP&A groups, including television content, EPIX, and Channels groups, to ensure forecast accuracy
• Building & refreshing internal reports used in the budget and long-range planning process, as well as monthly actuals and quarterly forecasts
• Help maintain the Oracle Essbase database
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting team during monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Build trust with senior management through effective communication
• Contribute to exciting ad hoc projects

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business / Economics or a related field preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting or financial planning
• CPA / public accounting experience STRONGLY preferred
• Entertainment industry experience preferable
• Working knowledge of Essbase, SAP, or Cognos a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Desire to develop reporting expertise using Essbase & Excel
• Aptitude for being precise and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of company personnel
• Desire and proven track record working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well as a team member and deliver accurate information in a timely manner
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
