Analyst, Motion Picture Production Finance

Job Description

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking an Analyst Motion Picture Production Finance. Role will manage specific aspects of the production accounting function. The production accounting function supports theatrical film production, conducts accurate timely forecasting, budgeting, tracking, accounting and reporting for films.

Responsibilities
• Support Production Finance executives
• Manage and coordinate production funding request submissions
• Review and verify production funding needs
• Process weekly funding requests
• Grant / revoke access for production members on external systems
• Prepare financial reports and variance analyses
• Coordinate with other studio accounting departments
• Comply with approved accounting principles
• Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur
• Interacts with internal and external peers and managers
• Cross train with team members

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with MS office, especially Excel for reporting purposes

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of multiple accounting systems (preferably: SAP, PSL, Smart Accounting)
• Knowledge of standard Accounting and Financial practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and cross-functionally
• Ability to use independent judgment to resolve variances from defined procedures
• Demonstrates proficiency in several areas of the professional function
