Job Description
The ideal candidate will assist within the royalty reporting (finance / accounting) department which interacts with sales, accounting, brand assurance, legal departments. Large interaction with domestic partners, with an emphasis on auditing reports for product approvals. Ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to other departments and upper management. Further, the ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate (0-2 year's post-graduation) who is conscientious, meticulous, and able to operate at a consistently high level. He or she should possess a keen willingness to learn, analyze, and desire to enhance the licensing business team of Marvel Entertainment, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.
Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze detailed royalty rep
and forecasts (lots of interaction with companies via email and phone, domestically and internationally)
• • Data entry required, analyses of contracts and their impact upon royalty reporting
• Assist with worldwide licensee accounting maintenance, liaise with both sales and IT department regarding new contract submissions
• Heavy usage of Oracle-based licensing system for input and output with regard to contract tracking
Basic Qualifications: Business Major
Preferred Qualifications: Finance or Accounting Major
Required Education: BS/BA Degree
The hiring range for this position in New York is $50,000 to $80,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
