The production manager manages the daily activities of the production. In partnership with the Line Producer, the production manager will establish and maintain the production schedule and other show reporting every week. They will help define the culture of the show by working with the producer to lead the production team.

Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and hiring production staff. The production manager will train production supervisors to ensure they understand the process. Mentor Production Supervisors so that they can effectively train their teams.
• Communicating with Producers, Directors, Artists, and production supervisors to ensure the production schedule is met. With the Line Producer, translate the Master Schedule into departmental micro-schedules Monitor daily progress, and report variances to the Line Producer. Identify and elevate areas of appropriate concern to the Producer.
• Collaborating with the Line Producer in tracking all costs to ensure the production stays within the budget. Communicate and troubleshoot budget problems with the Producers and Production Executives.
• Supervising the preparation of pre-production materials for shipping. Directly manage the production staff to ensure materials are prepped, QC'd, and ready to be sent to vendor partners. Notify the Line Producer of any delays ahead of time.
• Assist the Line Producer with performance reviews to provide the crew with clear feedback and help develop growth plans.
• Creates show specific onboarding systems for all new hires.
• May run Production Management meetings as requested by the Line Producer.
• Oversee the evaluation of scripts and animatic
• Generate and distribute reports as needed
• Ensure shipped episodes are on target with scope.
• Work with Line Producer and Vis Dev to create test materials for artists. Handle test assignments through completion.
• With LP and supervisors, create show-specific pipelines and translate them into Shotgun review processes. Create and maintain process docs for the show.
• Responsible for overseeing data management in Shotgun – check that all materials are being correctly captured and that all relevant data is accurate. Help train production staff on Shotgrid as needed.
• Manage, motivate and create an environment that's conducive to achieving deadlines as well artistic achievement. Foster a team culture of collaboration, and clear and open communication where mistakes are an opportunity for growth.
• With Line Producer, assist Post Production Producer(s) and Supervisor(s) with the post/retake processes set up. Track and monitor retake budget and post schedule.
• With Line Producer, develop strong relationships with partner studios to ensure daily communication runs smoothly, troubleshoot issues and foresee and avoid potential delays.

Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of previous CG work experience in Animation production or equivalent production experience. CG animation production experience is preferred.
• Trade school degree or certification; Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Animation workflow processes.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Exceptional Shotgrid Experience
• Computer skills preferred: Photoshop, Toon Boom, Adobe Acrobat
• Must have the ability to adapt to changing software applications.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of production staff and artists. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail is crucial for this role. Innate curiosity a huge plus.
• Must have the ability to organize, schedule, and delegate work effectively.
• Must be proactive and be an effective problem solver.
• Must have the ability to lead with a positive attitude and encourage collaboration.
• The ability to manage time and balance priorities amid the pressures of busy, deadline-driven production is essential
