Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting production on upcoming publications, assisting the efforts of both Marvel staff and outside vendors. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is required. Familiarity with the comic-book industry and experience with digital archiving are a plus.
Responsibilities
Supporting Production
• Staging files for upcoming collections
• Paginating collection layouts and exporting PDFs
• Adjusting existing layouts to conform to proper print specifications
• Reviewing collection proofs
• Creating digital flatplans and uploading files to printers
Supporting Packagers
• Routing collection covers for internal approval
• Receiving and archiving files for completed collections
Supporting Asset Team projects
Cleaning up and reorganizing files in the existing digital archive
Gathering assets from the archive to fulfill internal and external asset requests
Requirements
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign Ability to manage deadlines and multitask to complete various time-sensitive projects Strong communications skills Strong organizational skills
The hiring range for this position in New York is $40,000 to $60,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
