Job Description

The Role:

The Workday Business Analyst will focus on identifying and proposing process improvements for Workday Core HCM functionality. This will include partnering with HR Function Leads and HR Recruiting/Business Partners to identify areas for process improvement and gather data requirements for business processes in the Workday application. Strong analytics and presentation skills required.

Responsibilities:
• Configure, test, and deploy Workday business processes
• Prepare ad-hoc queries using Workday reporting features
• Use strong analytical skills to interpret varying requirements from multiple sources and develop a best-fit approach
• Identify issues, conduct analyses, and form conclusions
• Develop and prepare summary analyses to validate system accuracy
• Ad hoc special projects as required or as necessary

Qualifications:
• Experience with Workday HCM, Learning, or Financials required. End-user experience as an internal partner (such as HR Partner or HR Coordinator) included.
• 2+ years relevant analytic experience. Overall career experience must include 2 years in HR, IT, Business Analytics, or Finance.
• Bachelor's degree required. Emphasis in finance, accounting, economics, information systems, or another quantitative field preferred.
• Exceptional analytical problem solving and data modeling experience. Experience applying these skills to resolve operational performance problems is a plus.
• Proven ability to use analytical, logical, and organizational skills to make business decisions using complex information from multiple sources.
• Experience implementing multiple projects at the same time. Must be able to thrive in a demanding, change-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; should be an advanced user with experience linking multiple worksheets and external databases, using pivot tables, and writing nested functions.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and their inner workings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with relational databases; Workday and ADP familiarity is a plus.
• Experience managing independent workload and juggling multiple priorities.
• Ability to work in a rapidly evolving, fast paced culture, and meet time-critical deadlines
• Ability to be flexible with hours as workload changes and be able to multi-task effectively.
• Experience with Zendesk and JIRA ticketing management, a plus.
• MS Office proficient – Access, Excel, Powerpoint, & Word. SQL skills, a plus.
