THE ROLE

We are seeking a candidate to join our Marketing Automation Engineering team. This team is responsible for creating real time marketing campaigns across multiple advertising platforms. We improve ticket purchase experience for hundreds of millions of live event fans by using real time streaming combined with various AWS technologies. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Write clean, well designed, testable and efficient code to enable marketing campaign creation
• Contribute to all phases of application development life cycle
• Build out and support all the necessary infrastructure in AWS
• Design database schemas and tables
• Develop, maintain and optimize SQL queries
• Maintain and evolve existing real-time processing systems
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs as well as propose solutions to identified problems
• Ensure overall system health through automated testing and monitoring
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to provide efficient automated processes
• Integrate with 3rd party applications and vendors
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative approaches to existing solutions

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience developing Java applications
• Experience in development of highly available and reliable distributed systems
• Deep understanding of relational databases
• Familiarity with AWS stack required, previous experience with Elastic Beanstalk, Lambdas, S3 preferred
• Experience working with containerized applications
• Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams preferred
• Familiarity with Spring MVC
• Data Engineering skills (ETL)
• Effective visual and verbal communication skills
