ABOUT LIVE NATION

The Live Nation Digital Tech Team (LNDT) drives the fan experience across 30 international Live Nation sites, covering 49 countries and 28 languages. We are responsible for the online face of the business and are the team who help fans discover and buy the tickets they just can't miss out on. As well as our core business with the Live Nation sites, we support and manage over 200 festival and venue sites who work independently but within our framework and we are required to meet their needs whilst allowing them autonomy.

THE JOB

This role involves working in an agile software engineering team, covering the complete lifecycle of development activities from planning to delivery. Ensuring efficiency, reliability and quality of all components and features developed as well as quick response to requirements changes, which contribute to Live Nation winning in their marketplace.

Because our business is online 24/7, you may on occasion be required to work out of hours or provide on-call duty on a rota basis.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Being a leader in an agile fast-moving development team
• Ensuring high coding standards are meet across the team
• Liaising with stakeholders to translate their visions into concrete solutions
• Developing solutions using the latest standards, tools and techniques
• Ensuring appropriate test coverage and standards are maintained across the estate
• Actively contributing to key decisions
• Working and collaborating a team of other engineers to produce well tested, robust and practical solutions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• Has a solid knowledge of HTML5/CSS 3/JavaScript.
• Uses ES6 / ES7 Javascript features in daily basis.
• Confident using React and new features of the framework.
• Has worked with/experience of React/Redux architecture.
• Has professional experience with NodeJS.
• Has proven professional knowledge of Typescript.
• Has knowledge of UI libraries or styling tools such as Styled Components and / or Material UI
• Can demonstrate solid reasoning for Design Systems
• Is an active community contributor, whether through blogs, meetups, personal projects or open source contributions.
• Loves technical challenges.
• Knows how to deal with git.
• Is comfortable with build tools like webpack.
• Is confident using testing techniques and tools.
• Is no stranger to progressive enhancement.
• Is passionate about creating accessible, performant web apps.
• Is an advocate for performant code, well documented modules and best practices.
