THE TEAM

This role is a core function within our Global IT and Salesforce Technology department and will report to the Senior Director, Global Salesforce Architecture. This role will work in partnership with the Global Salesforce Business Analyst Team, the Global Salesforce Operations (Administrator) Team and the Global Salesforce PMO function. This role also requires close collaboration with the wider IT teams, which includes IT business applications, IT service delivery and IT enterprise Cloud systems.

The Global Salesforce Team supports B2B Salesforce across the entire Ticketmaster business globally, with core teams located in North America and the United Kingdom and a significant number of work-from-home team members. We support several Salesforce orgs and nearly 2,000 users in 25+ countries. The team operates within the broader Salesforce footprint of our corporate parent, Live Nation.

The Global Salesforce Team is a service organization dedicated to delivering world-class enabling technology to the global Ticketmaster and International Live Nation businesses. As such, the team prides itself on building and maintaining close relationships with business leaders as well as developing a deep understanding of the business processes and challenges they face every day. Every member of the team has a business-first, technology-second mindset.

The service organization ethos fully applies internally to our team as well. We pride ourselves on supporting each other, putting our heads together to solve problems, and collaborating to maximize each individual's skills and potential.

The team is tasked with assuring that the Salesforce platform and its associated technologies are properly maintained following best practice methodologies and importantly following our global data privacy and governance models, our audit and compliance policies and procedures, along with ensuring our systems are kept safe and secure following both IT, Compliance, Data Privacy and Information Security policies.

This role supports existing Salesforce deployments as well as implementing new features.

THE JOB

This role is to lead the technical Salesforce team, which consists of architects and developers in both the United States and United Kingdom. This role is a backfill for our Senior Director, Global Salesforce Architecture who has been temporarily assigned to a large Salesforce transformation initiative.

This role is an opportunity to become an integral part of our global organization and participate in highly visible, fast-paced and impactful strategic initiatives across business disciplines, geographies, and technologies. The role will provide the individual with the opportunity to work on the many diverse areas of Salesforce within Ticketmaster's footprint.

The Architect Manager will fulfil two key missions: ensuring our Salesforce systems are built and maintained according to the highest technical standards, as well as managing the technical team.

During this assignment, it is important that any technical changes are fed into the overall new CRM transformation program to ensure the project and BAU services and technologies are aligned accordingly.

In the technical capacity, this individual will fill several roles:
• Provide guidance to technical staff on best practices, architectural approaches, and methodologies as appropriate to the task at hand
• Set and enforce quality standards
• Meet with business leaders to discuss upcoming work, to gauge feasibility, define scope, and implementation plans
• Be the highest level of escalation for technical issues
• Although this role does not typically perform architecture or development work for a given project, the individual should be hands-on and comfortable chasing down bugs, reverse-engineering prior work, and other detailed analysis
• Provide thought leadership on Salesforce technology and keep up to date with the platform as it evolves
• Implement and maintain DevOps methodologies

As a manager, this individual will:
• Lead and manage a team of 4-5 direct reports, including day-to-day, performance management, and learning and development
• Advise and consult on work in the Sprint backlog and larger projects, helping to prioritize, plan and scope the projects within the existing capacity of the team
• Work closely with the leaders of the Operations, Integration, Business Analysis, and Project Management team to form the Global Salesforce Leadership Team
• Manage the day-to-day of the team in terms of workload/capacity
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to provide technical assistance, coaching, and other support as needed

This team is ''client facing'' in that team members often collaborate directly with the business to further project goals, such as collecting or clarifying requirements or coordinating user acceptance testing. All team members must be comfortable interacting with nontechnical staff at all levels and will apply communication and analysis skills in addition to core technical capabilities.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Manage a technical team of 4-5 architects and developers.
• Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders.
• Responsible for prioritization, planning and execution of technical requirements within our global Salesforce footprint. Requirements may originate from Cases (trouble tickets), Work Items (medium-size projects) or larger corporate initiatives.
• Implement projects within Ticketmaster's established project management and technical processes. Flexibility is paramount, as our processes emphasize agility over structure. Each project is implemented according to a level of rigor and analysis that is appropriate to its unique requirements, timeline, and resources.
• Responsible for ensuring that the global Salesforce system(s) accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that thorough testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are aligned to our global corporate Live Nation Entertainment policies and standards. As the team leader, this individual is accountable for the team's performance in several core areas, including:
• Communication and relationship building directly with nontechnical stakeholders.
• Interpretation of business requirements into technical designs.
• Attending regular planning meetings and daily stand-ups.
