Project Manager, Event Programming Support

Contract Terms: Permanent, Full Time

THE TEAM

The Event Programming Support team within Marketplace Support drives Global Best Practices and manages critical projects related to Event Programming. The team collaborates with Operational and Technology teams as well as other global leaders within Live Nation to ensure efficient and accurate programming of event builds, edits and quality assurance.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Manager - Event Programming Support, the Project Manager works closely with both operational and technology teams to develop and maintain Global Best Practices and related products to maximize efficiency and accuracy in Event Programming. This involves working closely with end users, both internal and external, on how they use existing processes and tools as well as analyzing efficiency and accuracy to discover opportunities for improvement. The Project Manager works both independently and collaboratively on key initiatives that align with company goals related to all aspects of Event Programming.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Contributing to a global suite of Best Practices that maximizes efficiency and accuracy in Event Programming work, unlocks B2B product solutions and simplifies training and documentation programs.
• Monitoring global workflow and accuracy to identify opportunities for improvement related to timely and efficient event building, editing and quality assurance.
• Assessing and documenting new feature requests and bug reports from both internal and B2B users and working with the related development teams to develop and test solutions.
• Providing expert support to operational teams on new and unique challenges and applying that experience to future development of Best Practices and product solutions.
• Maintaining excellent knowledge of the day-to-day challenges for Event Programming teams to inform prioritization of a wide variety of projects.
• Coordinating or executing quality testing of innovative operational updates via test events, products, and procedures to ensure products are functioning properly before release.
• Providing tenured mentorship for newly acquired talent to ensure Event Programming Best Practices are properly communicated.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of Event Programming or related experience
• Knowledge of all existing products related to core functionality as well as understanding of the future landscape for internal and B2B tools
• Functional understanding of the ticketing ecosystem, including tour promoters, venue clients and fan experience
• Experience with Excel, advanced text editing software and similar applications

• Ability to negotiate for competing resources and to generate consensus among multiple priorities

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities
• Demonstrated desire to identify and pursue alternatives to meet goals
