THE TEAM

The Product Manager, Data Products will work within the Data Services team at Live Nation. Data Services manages the governance, ingestion, processing, and delivery of data for Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

THE ROLE

As the Product Manager, Data Products, you will report directly to the VP of Product for Data Services, with a focus on developing new data products for the enterprise. This role entails working across the business with various stakeholders helping them achieve their business goals with data. Working with a team of data engineers in an agile development environment, you will primarily manage data ingestion from Near Real Time/low latency/streaming sources, batch based processes and via APIs, processing and delivery of data in various formats to stakeholders across the company.

Live Events are back, and the business is growing at a tremendous rate. This role is crucial in enabling the company to use data to take live events to the next level.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Work with data engineering team to build new data products
• Act as the functional and subject matter expert for data ingestion, processing and data delivery
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs
• Define any business-facing strategy and deliverables associated with the acquisition and use of new data sources
• Work with the engineering team leaders to define and validate the technical implementation approach, strategy, and deliverables
• Contribute to the data engineering data products roadmap
• Prepare and deliver project status and stakeholder updates to key teams and senior leadership
• Define and document business/functional requirements for ongoing system enhancement initiatives
• Proactively identify risks and drive action to mitigate and resolve issues

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 4+ years working in Agile development environment as a product owner or product manager
• Basic data management capability and functional knowledge of SQL
• Analytical skills to assess functionality and completeness of data products
• Ability to map business processes to resulting data and and identify ways to express signals from business activities in a functional data product
• Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and handle shifting priorities
• Team-oriented, collaborative worker while still being able to work independently
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams & in complex technical environments
• Must have understanding of the end-to-end data supply chain from source to consumption
• Ability to determine priorities based on highest business value to the company
• Familiarity with many types of technical documentations (e.g. process maps, BRDs, system diagrams, user experience, application maps, test plans, user stories, etc.)
• Practical experience with Privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR and Privacy Compliance
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions
