THE JOB

The People Learning & Development Manager role contributes to the success of our Media & Sponsorship division by acting as an expert in how we continue to develop and engage our employees. The role will balance consulting with leadership about career development strategies and implementing employee surveys, training, and programs to best support our population. This individual will create and deploy key learning initiatives to meet employees' needs. This role reports to the Human Resources Business Partner and will be located in our New York City office.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Partners with HR and business leaders to support a culture of learning through effective, employee-centered initiatives
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and assess learning gaps and find short/long-term solutions to maximize employee success
• Implements key priorities and communication plans as they relate to leadership and career development, team skilling/reskilling, onboarding, and engagement
• Builds and facilitates in-person/virtual workshops, applying proven learning techniques to design and delivery
• Conduct learning needs assessments and creates and/or improves current trainings through best practice research & adapt to e-Learning content for scalable delivery when appropriate
• Support our employee engagement survey process, data analysis, presentation building, results communication, and action planning initiatives with leaders
• Identify and partner with external consultants (such as content providers, employee survey vendors, etc.) as well as our internal corporate L&D experts
• Take the lead on ad-hoc special projects
• Leveraging the use of the LMS (Learning Management System) for training deployment and tracking.
• Maintain and update training programs for online training platforms using authorizing tools as well as troubleshooting user concerns.
• Monitor and follow up on compliance training to meet state requirements.
• Conduct research to assess elements for compiling reports, possible new procedures, or establish new methods.
• Schedule, market, and deliver instructor-led training sessions for new supervisors and managers.
• Deliver performance management programs, leadership coaching, communication training, feedback, sales training, etc.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing learning initiatives and development programs
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree in related field a plus but not required
• Proficient in effective leadership development/management training methods and presentation
• Create and execute training and development content from ground up on leadership and communication skills/
• Experience with delivering and analyzing employee surveys
• Strong client service skills and willingness to execute and influence within a challenging, fast-paced environment
