THE JOB

Venue Operations Coordinator

The Venue Operations Coordinator will assist in all aspects of operations in relation to events at the Xfinity Center as assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager. As a utility player, this person will gain and understand and insight into all departments and teams of the venue on non-show days and show days alike. This position does not oversee any departments or have any direct reports.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assist General Manager and Operations manager on projects as assigned that will contribute to the successful operation of concerts and other events. Non-event day tasks could vary and will be clearly communicated.
• Gain insight into, and an understanding of, all guest touch points at the venue, including parking, line management, VIP, guest service and more
• Assist all venue teams and departments as directed given the needs for a particular show during events (Employee greeting and check-in, Guest Services, line management, pouring, Ushering and Ticket Taking, Security, Parking, upsells including bag check, lawn chairs, and general store, and more)
• Immerse with front-line employees to identify ways to incorporate our service principles of safety, care, encore and efficiency
• Create and deliver post-show reports on event activities, insights, and recommendations
• Shadow various members of the venue's Core Team, including General Manager and Operations Manager, to understand what it takes to operate and manage a successful venue
• This position does not oversee any departments or have any direct reports.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Previous events or operations experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• A motivated self-starter
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
