THE TEAM

The Core Orders team build is leading the way at Ticketmaster, implementing the first Domain-based systems and services. Our applications provide Order data normalized, enriched, and streamed for the largest live entertainment systems in the world, in near real-time. We are looking for a Lead Engineer who can thrive in our challenging environment, churning through ambiguity and finding the best solutions for the long term. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Responsible for Team-Level strategic ownership and ''hands-on'' design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale or significantly complex software solutions that have a long-term impact on a product, technology, or organization.
• Lead the Engineering Implementation of the team by example, ensuring engineers adhere to best practices and defined standards and move in a synchronized direction.
• Deliver artifacts and solutions that set the standard within your organization for engineering excellence, from designs to algorithms to implementations.
• Your personal code submissions and reviews of other people's code are instructive and improve the overall code corpus.
• Your design approaches and the code you contribute are noteworthy in some way (e.g., a significant refactor that simplifies or improves architectural quality, enables us to maintain a competitive advantage, offers significant extensibility, performance, and scalability, or has an organization-wide operational excellence impact).
• Learn from Enterprise Architecture, Solutions Architect, and Tech. Strategy as well as the business's priorities, expectations, and customers' needs. With this understanding, be an evangelist for customers, stakeholders, and the rest of the team to exert influence upwards to affect the strategy and direction of the organization that best supports them.
• Partner with other teams (internal and external) to best leverage your team and area of ownership to most effectively create/use/deliver actionable strategies and implementations that further the organization and best fulfill the needs of our customers, now and into the future.
• Learn about new technologies (both internal and external) and methodologies that your team can adopt.
• Be a resource to your team and stakeholders to represent the team and orgs. Tech. Strategy, Best Practices, and ''lessons learned from the past'' to act as a ''Force Multiplier.'' Participate in discussions, working groups, and strategy meetings to leverage your knowledge to provide focus and increase team productivity and effectiveness.
• Be accountable for the quality of the products, systems, and solutions created and delivered by the team. Invent, adopt, or evolve technical decisions, processes, and standards that can be understood and followed by the team to build and support a healthy SDLC, including technical skill development, prioritization, issue resolution, hiring, and individual development.
• Ensure rigorous engineering and development processes, including Scaled Agile Methodology and complete, thorough, and effective fully Automated Quality Assurance and Reusability
• Recruit, hire and mentor and develop exceptional software engineering talent. Understand who the right people are to help implement our strategy, ensure they have the right tools and opportunities and empower their individual growth to contribute to the organization's success.
• Responsible for reviewing teammates technical designs, code and tests to keep the entire team focused on being the best they can be.
• Partner with other architects and teams to ensure the Digital ecosystem of services stay loosely coupled and independently scalable.
• Automate the testing of all of components to ensure we have excellent test coverage with quality assertions.
• Participate in design sessions, implementation plans, resolve technical issues, review code and provide feedback.
• Encourage innovation with new technologies and elegant solutions.
• Advocate technical direction, define best practices and principles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• 7+ years of successful professional experience in the design, delivery, and support of complex projects across web platforms & mobile applications, with internal and external design, development, and quality assurance teams
• 3+ Years of deep and direct hands-on experience with the specific technologies used in the team's systems/solutions. Proven ability to deliver artifacts that set the standard within your organization for engineering excellence, from designs to algorithms to implementations.
• Desire and technical ability to act as an owner, leader, and ''force multiplier'' within a defined problem area and the team's scope. ''Lead by example'' by consistently most of the time contributing directly to the design, development, and support of your team's systems/solutions.
• You have a proven track record of ''winning,'' whether by leveraging your team, your partners, or yourself.
• Broad exposure and experience in fully automated QA (TDD, BDD, Performance, Security, Integration/Compatibility, Regression, and Functional Testing), API-Driven Development and systems design, Enterprise-level scale and complexity, ''Real-world'/actionable strategic planning, Engineering Best-Practices, Engineering workflow optimization, and integration, Designing/Developing in a
