Who are you?

We are looking for a bright, savvy, passionate Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. You will join a tight-knit team laser-focused on providing HR excellence to over 500 employees across Canada.

Your primary responsibilities, while supporting the overall HR function, will focus on facilitating various initiatives including payroll administration, onboarding, recruitment support and a number of unique HR programs that make us stand out as an employer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Administer semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls including reviewing and approving summaries, updating payroll information (one-time payments, new banking info, new hires, terminations, tax forms and benefit forms), and reconciling monthly payroll GL entries for finance
• Maintain employee files, ensuring employment documents are filed properly and electronically filed in our internal systems
• Oversee benefit administration (new enrolments, changes, terminations, billing reviews) through our third party administrator
• Conduct reference screens for new candidates
• Create offer letters for full time, part time, seasonal and hourly staff
• Point of contact for employee inquires relating to benefits and payroll
• Manage timely ROE distribution
• Complete StatCan Job and Wage Surveys, as required
• Administer employment verification letters
• Coordinate the new-employee onboarding process and related training, including; coordinating IT set up, learning journal sessions and collecting new hire documentation
• Oversee HRIS administration through Workday, including setting up new employees, terminating employees, updating data and pulling analytics report and general tasks, in order to maintain accurate data and reporting
• Managing inquiries on Backstage/Take Care of Our Own Benefits/Access to Apps, etc.
• Coordinate vacation and extended absences administration including tracking, reconciliation and reporting monthly balances
• Update Human Resources metrics, including turnover and recruitment tracking reports
• Monitor and manage employee contract end dates
• Organize weekly meditation sessions (email invites, set-up and tear-down once we're back in the office!)
• Administer the Live Nation birthday recognition program
• Event planning (holiday parties, Kid Nation, summer BBQs)
• Ordering gifts for employee life events

Skills & Qualities Desired:
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and related reporting requirements
• Comfort analyzing data, spotting numerical errors and identifying trends
• Attention to detail
• Abnormal organization skills
• The desire to really understand our business and our culture. They will be the key to your success.
• Proven ability to initiate and develop activities and creative ideas
• Have a ''can-do'' attitude
• Speak ''business'', not ''HR''.
• Know, learn, and keep up-to-date on all things HR
• Experience, or a burning desire to work in a fun, creative entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, and meet time-critical deadlines
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Workday preferred

Education & Knowledge Desired
• Bachelor's degree in HR, or equivalent
• 1 or more years of work experience on an HR team

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
