Front Gate Tickets is North America's leading software and operations provider for the festival market. We provide technical solutions for e-commerce ticketing, access control, data management, and fan engagement. We partner and run on-site operations for over 200 festivals each year and are on a massive growth trajectory matched by no one in the industry. We do it for the fans!

Front Gate is owned by Live Nation Entertainment and acts as Ticketmaster's festival arm. We have two offices located in Austin, TX.

THE TEAM
Our product development team is responsible for designing and building the technical solutions that make up North America's premier festival ticketing platform. We are a modestly sized group that takes pride in the breadth of our product offerings and our ability to deliver timely results. Our products cover (but are not limited to) ecommerce, box office management, marketing and fulfillment services, and on-site access control. With the highly anticipated return of live events on the horizon, we're looking for individuals to help us design and build the next generation of tools for our best-in-class platform.

THE ROLE

The QA Engineer III's responsibility is to help us ensure our customers have the best ticket buying and festival going experience possible as well as supporting internal stakeholders and processes. You will be integral in ensuring a quality product is delivered by testing software and systems, vetting requirements, and working with architects and developers on system performance and reliability. You will be eager to improve upon and innovate our engineering processes, procedures and technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with Development and Product Management to understand requirements and design test plans that meet company needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, usability, agile implementation practices, and adherence to testing goals and principles
• Review requirements for consistency and testability
• Plan and execute both manual and automated tests
• Design, develop, maintain and refactor test automation
• Identify, analyze, report, track bugs, and drive issues to resolution
• Share knowledge with other test engineers and continuously research industry best testing technologies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required:
• 4+ years' experience in Quality Assurance Engineer role testing multi-tiered web applications
• Experience in designing, documenting and executing test cases
• Well-versed in Quality Assurance best practices and methodologies
• Well-versed in software development methodologies, especially Agile
• Demonstrable expertise in designing, developing, debugging, maintaining and refactoring test automation
• Experience testing mobile and peripheral devices
• Extensive experience utilizing Selenium-based automated test frameworks
• Expert level testing and tool knowledge for testing REST APIs
• High working knowledge of SQL
• Experience using Test Case Management tools

Technical Experience:
• Unix/Linux command line, SQL, Git, Docker, Jira, Confluence
• Selenium test automation framework
• REST API, Postman or similar tools
• AWS
- AWS console and services such as cloudwatch, dynamo DB, SQS, SNS, lambda, api gateways
• Appium mobile automation
• Data streams, queue based services, micro-services a plus
Other:

• Excellent communication skills, including presentation, written and listening
• Extremely well organized and works efficiently
• Knowledgeable of new and emerging technologies
• Ability to assess risk and come up with mitigation plans
