Job Description
This position requires a self-starting and creative team player. This person works closely with the Communications Director and Senior Publicist to manage public relations for multiple festivals from launch to event execution, including but not limited to executing press releases, credentialing media, managing media inquiries, and more.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute press strategies for C3 festivals in cities across the US
• Write, edit, and distribute press releases
• Work closely with PR and Marketing teams to support and amplify message for appropriate milestones throughout a festival cycle
• Pitch media for feature stories on festival as appropriate
• Serve as point of contact for designated festivals, which includes reviewing and vetting press applications, managing media inquiries, communicating with attending media and artist publicists, participating in the development and execution of onsite press space, and much more
• Attend festivals and serve as lead on-site contact or support on designated events
• Track press pickup and create ongoing reports during festival cycle
• Oversee contracted indie PR firms as necessary.
• Update database and research new press contacts and outlets regularly, as well as offer support to other team members on a variety of administrative duties

Qualifications:
• 2-3 years PR experience in music industry, preferably live music and events
• Current knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) paired with ability to be a quick study of internal systems
• Must be a self-starter, strong ability to work independently and with a team
• Must have strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Current relationships with music media and knowledge of current media and pop culture landscape
• Ability to thrive in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel often and work weekends when necessary
• Ability to creatively problem solve and prioritize urgent matters
