Role Description

This position will be a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities include the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns, maintenance of operational cashflow forecasts, preparation of monthly group reporting schedules and to support the Financial Controller in maintaining a SOX compliant control environment by undertaking a number of review tasks.

This role would suit candidates looking to gain experience in a central Finance function with desire to develop solid knowledge of Finance processes to lead them on to senior Finance positions in the future.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
• Part or fully qualified member of CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent)
• Experience in the preparation of VAT returns for a large and complex Group structure
• Solid, proven experience in a busy financial environment
• Deadline focused / Excellent time management skills and ability to handle pressure and conflicting deadlines
• Experience preparing Management Accounts desirable
• Interest in Excel with advanced level of knowledge

What the role includes?
• Preparation of VAT returns for the entities within the LN UK Finance remit including both promotions and festival entities and including the supporting reconciliation schedules. Participation in review and responding to queries in connection with the VAT return submission
• Providing VAT guidance to the UK Finance and wider teams within the business. Liaising with the UK Tax Director if required
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly group reporting schedules including the AR Rollforwards and Balance Sheet Variances reports along with supporting schedules.
• Maintenance of the operational cashflow and assisting with the monthly cashflow forecast reports
• Review and approval of transactions generated by the finance departments and wider business in line with the business process memo's i.e. approval of credit note requests
• Reviewing and authorising payment files from the financial system for artist and supplier runs. Bank mandate signatory for manual payments after qualifying period.
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the ledger managers in clearing down open items in a timely manner and in line with SOX controls
• Preparation of external statutory reports for payment practices for large group entities
• To undertake any other duties as requested by the Financial Controller.
