The Role:

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, this role is responsible for high volume, full cycle accounts payables i.e. obtaining approvals, invoice entry, account setups and statement reconciliations, investigating and responding to inquiries. Secondary responsibilities include preparing bank deposits, reclass journal entries and other month-end tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable invoices and input cheque and wire payments
• Maintain compliance with internal controls by ensuring proper approvals are recorded on invoices
• Prepare journal entries to reclass invoice allocations
• Work closely with show accounting team to ensure all payables are coded appropriately
• Establish new vendors, including ensuring the necessary paperwork is on file
• Research and resolve accounts payable issues directly with vendors
• Prepare bank deposits
• Create and maintain event project codes
• Month end procedures
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Skills & Qualities Desired:
• Strong organizational, time management abilities and attention to detail
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience with accounts payable and cash receipts processing
• Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, and meet time-critical deadlines
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
