Summary of Position

The Vice President, Global Earned Media will report to the SVP, Global Earned Media, Special Projects & Visual Communications to assist in developing and implementing comprehensive Global publicity campaigns to promote Lionsgate theatrical releases throughout all lifecycle windows.

Responsibilities
• ​​​​Serve as filmmaker contact and support EVP

• Work with Global Earned Media Director to provide talent and talent representatives with guidance on publicity strategy and messaging for press appearances, coaching talent and tailoring communications to maximize campaign value

• Work with Global publicity team to evaluate and identify target audiences for a diverse film slate.

• Strategize messaging and press pitches for each film.

• Work closely with Corporate Communications team to develop Talking Points.

• Oversee Production Notes and help facilitate all talent quotes and legal approvals for all written materials.

• Oversee and guide material and film sentiment reports with the press managers

• Work with Filed team to manage Multicultural and specialty agencies (including Sports, LGBTQ+, Political, Science, etc.)

• Source, hire and liaise with Unit Publicists for productions

• Work closely with Director and with the unit publicist on set visits, paparazzi possibilities, troubleshoot any issues on set. Also coordinate with Production and Corp Comm on casting announcements, Start of Production Releases.

• Back up to EVP on filmmaker presentations

• Maintain strong relationships with key press including editors, writers, tv bookers, film critics, and awards pundits.

• Assist in maintaining key campaign documents as it pertains to talent, including Pub Strat, Film Bibles, Timelines, Broadcast Calendars, Talent Timelines and Highlights Reports

• Collaborate with Global Teams on: edit bay visits, screening plans, material launches, sentiment reports, content days, junket asks, filmmaker decks, key dates, and review strategy.

Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a marketing and/or publicity capacity

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related degree

• Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

• Superior communication skills (written and verbal).

• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure.

• Strong work ethic.
