Summary of Position
VP or SVP reporting directly to the EVP of the department. The position will require drafting and negotiating various licensing agreements and rendering legal and business affairs advice to members of the worldwide television and domestic licensing team.
Responsibilities
• Draft, review and negotiate domestic and international content licensing agreements (e.g. HV/EST/TVOD, Free TV, Basic Cable, Premium Pay, SVOD and AVOD)
• Serve as account manager for several global and/or multi-territory clients
• Provide business affairs counsel to the sales teams in their negotiations
Qualifications & Skills
• 8 – 10+ years' in-house business and legal affairs entertainment industry experience (licensing preferred) or law firm experience
• Member of the State Bar of California or, qualified to be RIHC
• Detail-oriented drafting and writing skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Adept at managing internal relationships with multiple departments
• Preference for fast-paced environment
• Proactive, flexible, problem-solver and resourceful with strong organizational skills
• Prioritize and manage deadlines for multiple simultaneous contracts and projects
• International travel may be required
