Job Description
Summary of Position
The Coordinator, Business & Legal position requires a motivated individual who will handle various administrative duties and is eager to learn and provide support of daily operations for the Business & Legal Affairs team.
Responsibilities
• Schedule meetings & conference calls and manage calendars for a small team
• Learn and document department policies/procedures and deal terms and serve as a knowledgeable resource for the team and other departments
• Draft and update rights summaries, and create notices for internal circulation
• Track the status of each deal from start to close and update the status report accordingly
• Facilitate the execution of legal documents by collecting necessary internal approvals and signatures
• Process expense reports through Concur and submit invoices to accounting for processing
• Accurately maintain, organize, and update legal files and file agreements with the US Copyright office
• Assist with preparation of legal documents and redlines; drafting routine letters, contracts, and other correspondence
• Interface with third party lawyers and producers
• Conduct legal research on various issues, including rights analysis and recent developments in Entertainment Law
Qualifications & Skills
• Previous exposure to business and legal issues related to the acquisition, licensing and distribution of content a strong plus
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Shall have a high level of integrity, discretion and professionalism in all aspects of the job including when handling confidential information and informing with others
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and Docusign
• Must be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and independently prioritize work, and possess excellent organizational and tracking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in related field
