Job Description
KXAN (Austin, TX) is looking for an Investigative Photographer/Videographer to join its nationally-recognized, duPont and IRE Award-winning ''KXAN Investigates'' team of nine journalists – the largest investigative unit in Central Texas. We tackle stories that hold our leaders accountable and make our communities safer. This key role will create a variety of innovative content, including on-air special reports, tip-driven investigations, digital docuseries, podcasts and more.

EXPERIENCE:
• Candidates should have a minimum of three years working in a newsroom as a photographer/videographer, and a history in investigative work is preferred. This is not an entry-level position.
• Track record of effective collaboration and communication with colleagues
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, balance multiple projects and stay organized

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have a resume and online link showing investigative work. Previous work sho ul d demonstrate compelling visual storytelling , including advanced, creative photography and editing technique . This role will require proficiency in - or willingness to quickly learn - Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Candidates should have advanced skills with equipment, including cameras, lighting and audio. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as needed for the assignment is required.
