Job Summary/Description:

KWCH/KSCW is looking for a compelling anchor/reporter to help lead our weekend morning team. The ideal candidate is a strong journalist who can lead in the field as easily as leading on the desk.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Report three days a week providing accurate news pkgs and live reports
- Anchor weekend morning newscasts; ability to handle breaking news and weather with clarity and confidence
- Maintain a commitment to accuracy and fairness
- Ability to shoot compelling video, use of nat sound and creative editing skills to help illustrate the facts of a story
- Deliver strong live shots
- Build sources, generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Help with editorial decision-making; mentor reporters and producers in a constructive and collaborative way

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Develop original content through social listening and independent sources
- Interview news subjects and research for facts and credibility
- Enterprise news stories
- Previous reporting or anchoring experience required
