Job Summary/Description:

Alaska's #1 news team is looking for an experienced News Anchor/E.P. who will anchor Friday-Sunday (utilizing a 4-day work week, Wed-Sun) as well as plan, assign and and coordinate all weekend news coverage, including supervising and mentoring weekend staff members.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
* Anchor 2-3 evening newscasts per day (Friday-Sunday)
* Research, plan, assign and supervise weekend coverage for newsroom staff
* Serve as Weekend Executive Producer, the driving editorial force for the newscast and content creation as well as serving as a mentor to the Weekend Producer
* Review and approve reporter scripts for broadcast and digital
* Field anchoring and reporting, as assigned
* Fill-in anchor on other shifts/days, as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Degree in Journalism or English or equivalent experience
* At least two years experience in television news anchoring newscasts and/or reporting
* Experience producing newscasts
* Ability to work under deadline pressure with accuracy and urgency
* Leadership skills, good attitude, and a team player
* Solid editorial judgement and journalism ethics
* Ability to comfortably ad-lib on camera
* Excellent oral and written communications skills
* Digital writing experience (AP style)
* Ability to demonstrate strong social media following in previous jobs
* Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays
* Good driving record
