Job Description

KTLA is LA's Very Own station. We are looking for a reporter with the right combination of solid news judgment and engaging personality to join our storied team.

The right candidate must be able to handle stories on all topics, especially breaking news; must generate story ideas; have the experience and confidence to hold the powerful accountable; and display an on-air presence that is friendly and authoritative. Exceptional live skills are a must.

Responsibilities

General assignment reporting
Develop enterprise content on a consistent basis

Establish and maintain sources in the community, government and law enforcement

Participate in community and promotional events
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
At least five years' on-air experience in a competitive news market

Knowledge of newsgathering/First Amendment law and media ethics

Exceptional writing, speech, grammar and spelling
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends

Ability to report effectively during live breaking news
Expect long periods outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
Fluency in Spanish desired
