Line Producer

Job Description

KTLA is looking for a producer /writer who can line produce, write and do desktop editing in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be able to work under pressure and hit multiple deadlines. Candidate will need to be willing to work overnight and weekend shifts as well. This person will report to various Executive Producers and work to make sure his/her stories are updated with the latest breaking information. Candidate needs to participate in meetings with staff to discuss production elements and order all graphics and cut teases his/her newscasts.

College degree or equivalent related experience preferred. Prefer minimum 3 years of experience producing /writing at a commercial television station in a medium to large market. Effective writing skills a must, along with good organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to perform duties and make decisions under extreme pressure. Must be capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees. Prior experience with Adobe Premiere and ENPS a plus.
