KTIV, Siouxland's News Channel, is the award winning, dominate NCB affiliate located in Sioux City, Iowa and serves viewers in NW Iowa, NE Nebraska, and SE South Dakota. KTIV News 4 is a breaking news and weather station covering local, original stories in the tri-state area.

Job Summary/Description:

KTIV seeks a talented and energetic producer to work in our Creative Services and Production departments. This position will have the general responsibility of monitoring the KTIV on-air signals, transmitter, FCC logs, ingesting daily programming and commercials. Monitoring playlist automation, Saturday and Sunday mornings in our productions department. This position will also produce station promos, PSAs, and commercial projects as well as work with the Creative Services Director on coordination of the station news graphics libraries and playback system. This unique position provides an incredible growth opportunity in the technical and creative aspects of the broadcast industry.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Monitor proper and accurate broadcasting of all KTIV broadcast channels.
2. Keep accurate transmitter and program logs.
3. Roll breaks during live programming for over the air broadcast channels.
4. Check next days logs for missing material.
5. Dub commercials, promos, and PSAs for air.
6. Check quality of program feeds prior to airtime.
7. Segment syndicated programming.
8. Record satellite programming feeds.
9. Fill in for sick time / PTO of other Master Control Operators.
10. Script writing, project coordination, shooting and editing videos for station promotion, PSA, or commercial projects.
11. Graphic design creation and coordination for station promotional projects and news graphics.
12. Coordination of station Xpression Designer system and news graphics libraries.
13. Coordination of promotional spots for network and syndicated programming.
14. And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• This position favors a relevant communications degree and/or a strong background in Adobe Creative Suite; DSLR video productions, photography, creative thinking and writing. A strong background in lighting and audio is a plus.
