KOTA and KEVN are the ABC and FOX affiliates in Rapid City at the base of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. KOTA and KEVN are the market leaders for local news, sports and weather. We operate out of a brand new state of the art facility. KOTA and KEVN feature separate brands. Both stations cover the Black Hills area of South Dakota as well as parts of eastern Wyoming. Our teams produces seven newscasts every weekday and six weekend newscasts. KOTA & KEVN are located in Rapid City, SD television DMA Market 169, a community of approximately 100,000 television HH.

Job Summary/Description:

The Supervisor has two primary goals. First, work closely with our Technical Media Producers and News department to create a seamless over the air product consisting of syndicated and live programming events, live newscasts, and commercial breaks. Secondary responsibilities include, collaborating with the Creative department to produce commercials and promotions. This includes, writing scripts, shooting audio and video in studio or on location, using video editing software like Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and communicating effectively with clients and the sales department.

The new team member is expected to be a fast learner and have, a moderate knowledge of computer operations, a valid driver's license with good driving record, experience in videography, content producing, non-linear editing, and graphics. Experience with Carbonite Switchers and Adobe creative products or similar video editing software is a plus.

Responsibilities include leading a team in up to date information regarding equipment and Standard Operating Procedures, non linear video editing, loading and unloading equipment, shooting audio and video on site and in studio, writing scripts, and communicating effectively with station staff and clients.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Experience in one of the following is required, commercial production, Crispin software/operations and OverDrive software/operations. Education in Computer Engineering or the communications field is a plus.
