News Reporter / Morning Anchor - KOTA / Kevn

About KOTA/KEVN:

KOTA and KEVN are the ABC and FOX affiliates in Rapid City at the base of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. KOTA and KEVN and the market leaders for local news, sports and weather with a state-of-the-art facility. KOTA and KEVN feature separate brands. Both stations cover the Black Hills area of South Dakota as well as parts of eastern Wyoming. Our teams produce six daily newscasts and six weekend newscasts.

KOTA & KEVN are located in Rapid City, SD television DMA Market 169, a community of approximately 100,000 television HH.

Job Summary/Description:

The Morning Anchor/Reporter will anchor the morning show from 5:30 to 7 on KOTA. The Morning Anchor/Reporter will also be responsible for creating at least one package per week and other duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchor the morning show from 5:30am to 7am on KOTA.
- Create at least one package per week.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess -
- Ability to handle breaking news live in the studio and in the field
- Excellent on-camera presentation
- Be able to write in a clear, concise and conversational manner
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to contribute in an on-camera and off-camera team environment
- Effective use of social media talent pages
