About KOLO:
KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC and Telemundo affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada and parts of the eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non-profit organizations.
Job Summary/Description:
News Reporter/MMJ is responsible for covering local content, setting up news stories, creating content for the station website and social media pages, and representing KOLO in the community. Reporters/MMJs are often responsible for shooting and editing their stories. A reporter/MMJ may be asked to fill in for other newsroom roles as needed.
Daily duties include shooting/writing local news stories for newscasts and the KOLO website, setting up stories, covering breaking news, and posting on the KOLO social media pages.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Degree in journalism/broadcasting or other related field is preferred, internship or newsroom experience is a plus
