Temporary NSN Production Assistant (PT)

KNSN has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail orientated and creative Production Assistant/Editor!

Job responsibilities include:
• Editing video for daily sports coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces
• Taking in feeds from sports bureaus and various sports organizations
• Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
• Operate Camera or prompter for our Newscasts
• Prep for newscasts including but not limited to:
• Studio and set preparation
• Maintaining studio
• Lighting
• Editing for newscasts
• Other duties as assigned
• Requirements and Qualifications:
• Degree in Journalism or a related field preferred
• Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television or related field preferred
• Training will be provided
• Minimum one (1) year relative experience in the field preferred
• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer editing technology is a definite plus
• Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
