Job Summary/Description: Job Pay (Hourly/Salary): $34,000-$37,000 per yr.

KKCO/KJCT is looking for an experienced journalist to anchor the Western Slope's dominant #1 morning and noon newscasts. The ideal candidate thrives when working with a team and shows strong editorial judgment. Strong leadership and accuracy are a must. Anchors are expected to regularly create original content, develop story ideas and sources, and help generate compelling and understandable newscasts. The starting pay is $34,000-$37,000 per year.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchor daily newscasts
- Approve reporter and producer scripts
- Development of sources and stories within the community
- Engage with viewers in the community and over social media
- Work with producers and reporters to grow their skills
- Produce the Midday newscast
- Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic, strong people skills, and maintain a professional attitude
- This position may require holiday work

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 1 to 3 years of anchor or reporting experience
- Degree in broadcast journalism or related field
- Strong, demonstrated news judgment
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
- Live reporting and strong on-camera presentation skills
- Proficiency in story creation and newscast production
- Organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to make deadline
- Familiarity with ENPS a plus
