KFVS12 is searching for the Heartland's next great morning anchor! Heartland News is the market leader, winning all news time periods. We are looking for a smart, warm, and engaging anchor who can help us continue the growth of our audience over the air and online. Heartland News delivers breaking hard-hitting news all morning, with just the right amount of personality and fun. We are looking for an aggressive anchor who is passionate about news and weather. One who can give viewers something to look forward to in the mornings. We are a newsroom that values creativity, hard work, and enterprise hard news story ideas centered on safety and security. We need an anchor who will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the newsroom, be a mentor to staff members, and can help research stories and represent KFVS in our community.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Top candidates will have 3+ years of anchoring and reporting experience. Must be a news junkie with strong editorial skills and not just a figurehead.
• Must have exceptional ad-lib abilities for breaking news and impromptu moments during newscasts.
• Our anchors are also newsroom leaders, with the ability to unite team members, engage with the staff, and suggest editorial direction.
• A leader in the digital opportunities with an understanding of social media and over the top best practices.
