Job Summary/Description:

The KFVS Executive Producer will set expectations, inspire excellence, and hold the team accountable. You will be a member of the news management team, working with other department managers on major station initiatives. You will also ensure our newsroom is adopting corporate resources and best practices, and that KFVS continues to be a leader in our community, company and profession.

The #1 News station in America's Heartland is looking for our next great Executive Producer! KFVS12 in Cape Girardeau wins with well-produced newscasts that have urgency, creativity, and showcasing. We are looking for an experienced Journalist with a hunger for making daily news stories pop on air. The ideal candidate will be a very strong writer, copy editor, and leader with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

We are seeking someone who is not afraid to take the reins of a newscast. Someone who can use their showcasing skills and production tools to make the newscast sizzle. 5+ years of line producing experience is required. Executive Producer experience is preferred. Must be a news geek and have the ability to find and dig for stories. Must be willing to be a teacher and trainer. Ability to help set and accomplish newsroom goals for the number 1 station in the market.
