POSITION TITLE:
Overnight Executive Producer

REPORTS TO: News Director

KFOR & KAUT are looking for a strong newsroom leader to guide our overnight producers and help craft memorable newscasts. We are devoted to serving our community and audience with quality content and excellent storytelling.

Job Description:
• Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast.
• Manage newsroom, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audience.
• May be called upon to produce newscasts due to scheduling or illness.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications
• At least 5 years' experience in television news
• Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
• Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations
