KCRG-TV9 is the ABC affiliate based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with bureaus in Dubuque and Iowa City covering all of Eastern Iowa. We are dedicated to being a part of our community and sharing the stories of the people of Eastern Iowa. We produce 6 hours of news everyday, as well as support a robust website and the largest social media audience in the market.

Job Summary/Description:

KCRG-TV9 is seeking a Marketing and Creative Services Director to lead the station brand and promotional efforts. You will need to be supremely organized and creative in developing, implementing and protecting the leading broadcast news brand in Eastern Iowa.

You will be responsible for raising viewer awareness of that brand to drive audience growth on all KCRG-TV9 platforms. That will include conceiving and executing commercial production to promote the station's brand and products. To protect that brand, you'll also oversee all internal and external communications.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Development and protection of the KCRG-TV9 brand in eastern Iowa
- Creation of promotional materials (videos and images) to support the brand
- Coordination of news staff and creative services team to promote brand
- Oversee budget for promotional assets (TV ads, social media posts, external advertising)
- Manage partnerships to increase station reach and brand image
- Coordinate station events and community outreach efforts to ensure brand goals are met
- Work with sales team on sponsorship opportunities connected to station
- Ensure all external and internal communications support station brand and image

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience with on-air promotional experience as a writer, producer, editor
- Reel of examples of promotional work is required
- Strong Promotional Writing experience, expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects Editing skills and/or Strong video production skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to multitask and coordinate multiple deadlines
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills to coach staff in brand definition and image
- Occasional flexibility to work nights or weekends
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle record check
