Job Description
KCRA 3, the Hearst Television station that's #1 in Northern California, has an immediate opening for an innovative full-time photojournalist/editor. Our award-winning Special Projects team sets a very high bar for excellent journalism. We are looking for a passionate photographer who can execute documentary style; a creative thinker; a fierce competitor and a strong team player. This is an IBEW Union position.

Job Duties
• Shoot engaging, dynamic video and sound for investigations and special projects
• Edit compelling pieces with stunning visuals and engaging graphics
• Foster teamwork and collaboration with reporters and other news staff
• Develop dynamic video for multiple digital platforms
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills

Required Skills
• At least five years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work well under strict deadlines
• Expertise with non-linear editing
• Expertise with creating dynamic graphics and animation in programs like Adobe After Effects
• Expertise with DSLR and ENG cameras
• Ability to carry at least 50 pounds of equipment

Required Qualifications
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing to work flexible hours
• Bilingual experience is a plus
• Military DINFOS experience is a plus
• Drone experience with Part 107 certification is a plus
• Experience with NPPA style is a plus
