Job Summary/Description:

KCBD is looking for a hard-working, creative, and energetic storyteller to join our award winning team as a newscast producer. This is a part time position that will invest, train and provide opportunities for the winning candidate to grow and advance.

Producing a one-hour newscast on Saturday and Sunday. Includes collaborating with other producers, anchors, reporters, and photojournalists to create the best on-air product possible.

The primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing our weekend news gathering process
- Writing and publishing news content for newscast, digital platforms and social media
- Being a team player

Qualifications/Requirements:
-- Ability to story tell using video, utilizing natural sound and creative editing techniques
-- Must be capable of writing and producing pre-planned and breaking news coverage
-- Must work well under pressure and meet deadlines
-- Must practice solid news judgment and have knowledge of current events
-- Must be able to make good decisions quickly
-- Hands-on experience with editing software
-- Able to conduct interviews to get information
-- Ability to represent the station professionally in the community and newsroom
-- Must be able to work well independently and with others
-- College degree in journalism or related field is preferred. Related experience is a plus
-- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
